‘Sayonara’ Farewell Programme
The PG Department of Home Science organized a farewell programme, 'Sayonara,' for the 2023-25 MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics students on July 17, 2025, at Vidhyarthi Bhavan. The aim of the programme was to bid a warm farewell to the outgoing students and to appreciate their successful completion of the course. The objective of the programme was to provide a platform for the students to share their experiences and for the faculty members to offer words of wisdom and encouragement as they embark on their future endeavors.
Dr. N.V. Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Home Science, delivered the welcome speech, highlighting the importance and opportunities that the postgraduate course offers. Mrs. A.S. Anitha Begum and Dr. Annie Ninan (Former Associate Professors and Heads), were special guests at the programme. They shared their experiences and offered valuable advice to the students, wishing them all the best for their future endeavors.
The faculty members also shared their wishes and prayers with the students. The students, in turn, shared their experiences as postgraduate students, highlighting the values they had gained from the course and the support they had received from the department and college. They expressed their gratitude for the excellent facilities and opportunities provided by the department.
Ms. Shifa Rinshi (II Sem MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics) anchored the programme. The vote of thanks was given by Ms. Nadeeda O. (II Sem MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics). The programme concluded with a delicious candlelight lunch arranged by the juniors. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur and Manager Er. O. Abdul Ali also participated in the event.
The event was coordinated by Lt. Loosiya K.P., Assistant Professor (Adhoc), and Ms. Muhsina (II Sem MSc Home Science - Nutrition & Dietetics). 'Sayanora' was a memorable farewell programme that provided a fitting conclusion to the postgraduate journey of the 2023-25 MSc Home Science (Nutrition & Dietetics) students. The outcome of the programme was a sense of closure and new beginnings for the students as they embarked on their future endeavors with confidence and enthusiasm.
