Training and Placement Cell

Established in 2021-22 following the 2019 NAAC visit, the cell functions primarily to enhance the placement of the students of KAHM Unity Women’s College. Besides, the following objectives are also focused up

Providing students with resources and guidance to develop their employability skills like effective communication, interpersonal skills, etc.

§  Work with state higher education department and industry partners through CCC (Campus Career Connect) to create job opportunities for students.

§  Coordinate placement drives and recruitment fairs, inviting various companies to interact with students.

§  Assist and guide students in securing internships that provide valuable work experience to upskill them and enhance their resumes.

    The objectives of cell are met in liaison with the Career Guidance Cell, the CGC, a college body and ASAP, Additional Cell Acquisition Programme, a higher education state initiative. Through multiple ventures, students are groomed, trained and made employable following which placement drives are conducted for existing students and alumni. Efforts are made for development in the following areas:

§  Soft skills

§  Leadership skills

§  Digital skills

§  Introducing certificate courses

§  Interactions with industry experts

§   Getting students enrolled into courses by ASAP like Python Programming

§  Conducting placement drives

§  Creating awareness of new trends and courses through Career Champions for whole college

§  CV building step by step

The Placement Cell coordinator attends meetings organized by the state like CCC, Campus Career Connect, Women empowerment drives, Placement Cell coordinators meet etc, to stay updated of the latest trends in all fields
