Flash Mob for Awareness Against Domestic Violence and Promotion of 181 Women Helpline

As part of the state-wide campaign initiated by the Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) to create awareness against domestic violence and to promote the 181 Women Helpline, the Women Cell of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri organized a Flash Mob on 29th August 2025.
The programme was held in the college premises with the active participation of Women Cell members and enthusiastic students. The flash mob highlighted the importance of preventing domestic violence, extending support to victims, and spreading awareness of the 181 Women Helpline among the student community and general public.The performance, which combined music, dance, and strong social messages, drew the attention of a large audience and successfully conveyed the campaign’s core theme. The students’ spirited performance created an energetic and impactful environment, ensuring the message reached the participants effectively.The event was coordinated by Ms. Suhada KM, Women Cell Coordinator, KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, with the support of faculty and student volunteers.This initiative not only reinforced the significance of collective efforts in addressing issues of domestic violence but also strengthened the commitment of the institution towards creating a safe and supportive environment for women.
