As part of the Indian Constitution Day observation, the NCC Army Wing of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, under 9 (K) Girls Battalion NCC, Calicut, conducted an Awareness Rally and Preamble Reading Pledge on 28th November 2025 at the college premises. The aim of the programme was to promote constitutional values among cadets and encourage their active participation in nation-building activities. The objective was to create awareness on the significance of the Constitution, strengthen civic responsibility, and inspire students to uphold democratic principles. The programme was welcomed by Lt. Loosiya KP, Associate NCC Officer, who highlighted the relevance of Constitution Day and briefly explained its historical and contemporary significance. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal, who addressed the cadets with an inspiring message on the history of the Constitution, the leaders behind its framing, the rights and laws that protect citizens, and the need for the younger generation to understand and value the Constitution. Following his address, the Principal read the Preamble, and the cadets took the pledge by reading along. The cadets then carried out an awareness rally within the campus, raising slogans to spread the message of constitutional values. Manager Er. O. Abdul Ali and Hav. Sonu, PI Staff, 9 Kerala Girls BN NCC, also participated in the programme. A total of 101 cadets actively took part in the programme. Cadets also participated in the Preamble Reading Pledge initiated by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India, through the MyGov platform and received certificates. The vote of thanks was delivered by UO Rushda P, 6th Sem BSc Mathematics. The programme concluded with the NCC Song followed by the National Anthem.
