The NCC Army Wing of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri celebrated the 77th Republic Day on 26 January 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was organised with the objective of commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India and fostering national pride and unity among the NCC cadets.
The celebration began with a welcome address by ANO Lt. Loosiya. KP, followed by the flag hoisting by the College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The Principal then delivered the Republic Day message to the NCC cadets, highlighting the importance of Republic Day, its historical significance, and the theme of the year, “Celebrating 150 Years of Vande Mataram.”
The cadets also watched the live telecast of the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, Delhi, at the Aryabhata Hall, which showcased India’s rich cultural heritage, military strength, and constitutional values. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by UO Shahana. MP, 6th Sem BSc FCS, followed by the NCC Song and the National Anthem. The celebration successfully inspired patriotism and reinforced a sense of responsibility and unity among the cadets.
